Aims - To provide a basic knowledge through involvement and understanding
of the principles and practice of Hopi Ear Candling.

Objectives - To ensure that course participants can explain the principles and advantages of HEC and, by practical involvement and theory, perform the basic moves.

Hopi Ear candling is a very gentle and safe way of helping with the removal of ear wax, bringing about relaxation with massage of the face and head, as well as possibly alleviating  earaches, hayfever and sinus difficulties. 

Learn over a week end, the safe and effective way of confidently using, Biosun, medically approved, ear candles. Where the pressure points are over the face and head to help your clients with many ‘head’ conditions and more.
No previous experience necessary, although beneficial, only an open mind and a will to learn.

Peter Woodgate has been teaching Hopi Ear Candling, for the past 5 years around NZ. His approach is fun and informative, providing a relaxed and gentle environment of sharing knowledge.

Refreshments provided, please bring your own lunch. Short nails and comfortable clothing please.

Indian Head Massage

of the principles and practice of Indian Head Massage.

Objectives - To ensure that course participants can explain the principles and advantages
of IHM and, by practical involvement and theory, perform the basic moves.

Unlike other forms of massage, this Indian Head Massage is practised with the client seated in a chair, fully clothed.
For this reason, it can be given anywhere, from train stations to boats to planes to the office,
home or beach and most especially in treatment rooms.

Learn over a week end, this simple but amazing technique of over sixty different hand
movements to bring about relaxation for a wide variety of client needs.

No previous massage experience necessary, although beneficial, only an open mind and a will to learn.

Linda Woodgate has been teaching Indian Head Massage, Internationally, for the past 9 years and more recently around NZ. Her approach is fun and informative, providing a relaxed and gentle environment of sharing knowledge.

MOTUEKA PLAYS ITS PART AMONGST THOUSANDS WORLD-WIDE

350 parts per million is the safe upper limit of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. This was the core message of a Global Day of Action held in 181 nations, in dozens of languages on every continent, on Saturday 24th October, and Motueka played its part. Pictured is Donna McLeod, local playwright, her team of impromptu actors, and some of her audience, after a giant kotuku (white heron) appeared at Arcadia Organics to help spread the word. Arcadia was celebrating it's fresh new-look arcade and co-owner Peter Woodgate was there to take the picture. The short play was performed in three different venues over the weekend, including the Ngatimoti festival This is our way of honoring those who came before us and showing our love for those who will come after us, say the organizers. We need to wake up to the reality of climate change. 350 ppm is the safe limit but we're already at 385. We have to act now to bring our greenhouse gas levels down to avoid catastrophic consequences for ourselves and for future generations. Check out the website www.350.org for more information
